Dealing with Children (Ages 1 – 7)

A child at this stage has incomplete understanding and needs you to provide love, containment, hugs, and safety unconditionally.

  • Repeat information without considering the child stubborn; you spent years in education, so why do we expect a child to understand from the first time?
  • Avoid nervousness or anger entirely so they can learn calmly; this is their right.
  • No matter how much you have explained, explain again, as levels of understanding vary between children.
  • Punishment is forbidden under the age of seven; in case of a mistake, explain to them calmly.
  • There are no accusations of stealing or lying at this age, but rather gentle guidance.
  • If you do not treat your child calmly during this stage, you will struggle with them in later stages.
  • It is essential to increase educational storytelling, participation, drawing, and play.
  • The child is still learning the meaning of choice; they should not be blamed if they make a mistake or change their mind about a choice.
  • Hitting, cursing, insulting, or labeling the child with insults is strictly forbidden.
