Factors Leading to Feelings of Inferiority

Our children are exposed to many situations that lead to feelings of inferiority and affect them deeply. Among these situations are:

  1. Embarrassing situations that the child may face.
  2. Impact of hereditary factors, such as illness or disability.
  3. Feelings of poverty or the lack of fulfillment of their basic needs.
  4. Frustration in achieving certain goals and desires.
  5. Failing to fill the child’s emotional tank with love and affection.
  6. Constantly labeling the child as a “failure” or subjecting them to bullying.
  7. Constantly frightening the child as a means to force them to obey orders.
  8. Restricting their movement and not leaving room for freedom; a child needs to try and experience everything themselves.
  9. Over-dependency: Constantly making the child feel that someone else will always handle their affairs and that they cannot accomplish anything alone.
