The Talkative Child

The Talkative Child
- Talkativeness in children is one of the most annoying things for parents. However, if parents realize the causes behind it, they will handle it in a correct and sound manner.
Reasons for talkativeness in children:
- Feeling Bored: Boredom can be an indicator of a child’s intelligence, suggesting that what they receive at this age stage is below their potential. Consequently, they feel bored and resort to talking excessively, or the talkativeness may result from challenging the state of boredom in an attempt to escape it.
- Lack of a Sense of Security: Talkativeness in a child is sometimes a means to get rid of the anxiety they feel and their lack of a sense of security, as silence makes them think about fears they cannot face.
- Attracting Attention: If your child feels a lack of interest from the parents, they resort to chattering and talking just to draw attention to themselves because they feel the parents are not paying attention to them.
- Existence of a Behavioral Problem: A child may feel a weakness in their personality or frustration, which may cause them to lose self-confidence and force them to resort to talkativeness. Therefore, you must encourage your child for their behavior and praise them so that excessive talking does not turn into a habit and to restore their self-confidence once again.
- A Means of Showing Off: Every day, your child acquires more skills than the day before. Therefore, they may seek to show off the new vocabulary and skills they have learned through endless chatter.
