Forgetfulness in Children

  • Many of our children suffer from forgetfulness, which affects their educational and academic performance. However, there are reasons behind this problem; if we recognize and understand them, we will be able to solve it.

Causes of Forgetfulness in Children:

  • Lack of concentration during studying or because of similarities between information.
  • Malnutrition and deficiencies in Omega-3, iron, potassium, sulfur, phosphorus, minerals, and vitamins such as A, B, and E.
  • Obesity.
  • Excessive television viewing.
  • The child’s lack of a sense of security, lack of trust in those around them, and anxiety.
  • Certain brain injuries or tumors that may cause memory weakness and forgetfulness.
  • Relying on rote memorization without understanding while studying.
  • Suffering from any physical illness, such as colds, high fever, colic, or headaches.
  • Hunger and physical exhaustion.
