Cobb, given that a police inspector, including up the get . Whilst spot comes after a familiar development, the fresh new characterizations try new and also the activities suitable to overbalance. Dialog are terse and you can topical, preventing the emotional, phoney touch. Its mostly an issue of enjoying Mr. Powell read their paces smartly whenever you are a giant throw out-of stars and you will stars bring him classic help. Evelyn Keyes plays the favorable nothing woman exactly who brings out the fresh finest in your and Ellen Drew ‘s the sleek and you may slinky vixen which gets him into jams. Thomas Gomez was oily just like the villain and you can Lee J. Cobb does a new able concert tour because a tired police inspector just who ultimately closes the scenario.
