6 Parenting Mistakes

Many of our children’s behaviors leave us surprised and unaware of their causes, even though they might simply be a reaction to how they are treated. There is a set of mistakes that, if you are making them with your children, you should stop immediately.
Common parenting mistakes include:
- Comparing the child to others, such as friends, relatives, or siblings.
- Using reprimands, or verbal and physical insults.
- Disagreements between parents, which leaves the child feeling distracted and confused.
- Failing to say “No” and excessive pampering without boundaries.
- A lack of rules or leniency in enforcing them.
- Not spending enough quality time with the children.
- Not expressing or showing your love to your child.
- Overlooking the fact that you are a role model for your son through your actions.
- Allowing the child to witness marital conflicts.
- Hitting, intimidating, or harming the child physically or psychologically.
